Dodge Unveils 2016 Viper ACR

With the Viper ACR, Dodge has developed a high-performance model capable of tackling any circuit with confidence and conviction, giving the driver all that is needed to improve his time.

It all starts with a particularly effective aerodynamic package that generates up to 1 ton of downforce to ensure the stability of the beast. Quite a few carbon fiber components are included in the package to ensure that the weight remains relatively low.

Then there are the brakes, monster 15-inch Brembo calipers that ensure that the driver stops exactly at the moment he chooses. When it comes to the suspension, it is designed specifically for track use and offers Bilstein dampers with 10 settings with two adjustments. It is also possible to adjust the height of the suspension to modify the behavior of the Viper ACR on the track.

All this is necessary since, under the hood, we have a fierce 8.4-liter V10 10-cylinder engine that develops no less than 645 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. With so much power, that car needs to be able to ensure cornering stability, something the Viper ACR will do wonderfully. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.

With the 2015 Viper ACR, Dodge proves that it is able to build really powerful track beasts that will stand comparison with any other performance vehicle. For more information on the Dodge line, contact us today!
