2015 Jeep Renegade: Small, but It Goes Everywhere

Indeed, the American automaker has created a SUV with ideal dimensions for driving in town, which also proves capable of going off the beaten path with style and grace.

Smaller than all the other models in the Jeep lineup, the Renegade is the most affordable vehicle in the range, too, and competes in the increasingly competitive subcompact SUV segment that will host this year three new models from Honda, Fiat and Mazda. That said, the Renegade will be more than able to stand out, especially since it offers what the other subcompact SUV's do not, the ability to go almost anywhere without any difficulty.

Offered from $ 19,995, The Renegade is offered in four versions: Sport. North, Trailhawk and Limited. Cheaper than most of its competitors, it still offers a rich list of standard equipment which includes steering wheel audio controls, Uconnect media center with four speakers, block heater, Brake Assist, traction and stability control, trailer-sway prevention, seven airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The Renegade comes standard with front-wheel drive and a manual six-speed gearbox, while all-wheel drive is optional as is a nine-speed (yes, nine speeds) automatic gearbox. Two engines can be found under the hood of the Renegade. The first is an inline turbo MultiAir four-cylinder 1.4-liter engine that delivers 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque while the second, another four-cylinder in-line turbo called Turboshark MultiAir with 2.4 liters develops 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque.

Whatever the engine, the Renegade boasts impressive fuel economy for a versatile and robust vehicle. Indeed, the base front-wheel drive model has a fuel consumption rating of less than 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway while the AWD model has a rated fuel consumption of 7.8 liters per 100 kilometers, always on the highway.

The North model, priced starting at $ 25,995, adds air conditioning, Sirius XM satellite radio, leather steering wheel, fog lights, and more. The high-end version, the Limited, adds heated seats, leather seats, dual-zone air conditioning, heated steering wheel, backup camera, remote start and more.

Then, between that version and the North and Sport variants, there is the strongest model in the range, the Trailhawk edition. The latter adds an inch of ground clearance, a more muscular style with a different design for better approach angles, and a LOW mode as well as the traction management systemwith the added traction management system selection Ground.

There is no doubt there is a Jeep Renegade for everyone. For more information, contact us today!
